Case Study: Underdale High School Website, Photos, Video & Communication Tools
This one was a lot of fun.
We had the opportunity to work with the fantastic team at Underdale High School on a full digital refresh — bringing together a bold new website, professional photos and video, and rolling out the HAIL communication platform to support newsletters and school updates.

From the start, this project was all about identity, voice, and community pride. We worked closely with Mary-Lou Michael, PJ Willmott, and the passionate UHS team to bring their vision to life in a way that felt authentic, vibrant and student-centred.
Built Around the ‘U’
One of the standout features of this project was the clever use of branding and storytelling. “The Journey Starts with U” isn’t just a tagline — it’s a central message woven throughout the site, including a custom section that speaks directly to prospective students and families.
We even mirrored that idea in the design: the homepage includes a custom quick links area shaped like a ‘U’, making navigation simple, accessible, and aligned to the brand.
Visuals with Impact
The school’s pride shines through in the high-quality photos and video we captured on site. We made sure everything aligned with the school’s style guide — from colours and uniforms to tone and values — ensuring consistency across platforms.
And it’s not just the website that benefits — Underdale has already used the images for their school bus wrap, newsletters, and other promotional material. (Yes — we always supply both high-res and web-optimised files so schools can use them for print, signage, social media, and beyond.)
Smarter Communication
As part of the project, we also rolled out HAIL — our go-to communication and newsletter app. It makes it easy for the school to share updates across the website, email, and social media in one simple workflow. It’s already making a big difference in streamlining parent communication and showcasing student stories.
